Facts of Cambodia

Officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia and once known as the Khmer Empire

Cambodia is bordered by Thailand to the Northwest, Laos to the north-east, Vietnam to the east and the Gulf of Thailand to the south west

First it was a Hindu Country with the name KAMBUJA (Sanskrit) during 800 AD and now its a Buddhist Nation

The Tonlé Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia
The Tonlé Sap is unusual for two reasons: its flow changes direction twice a year, and the portion that forms the lake expands and shrinks dramatically with the seasons
